ABOUT US

The STAR Women's Network Inc.: Empowering Women, Inspiring Change.

Our organization operates on the fundamental principle that when women join forces, incredible things happen. Through our extensive network of diverse and accomplished women, we provide a supportive and inclusive community where members can connect, learn, and grow personally and professionally. One of the key pillars of our organization is Socio-economic EMPOWERMENT. We believe every woman possesses unique strengths and talents that deserve to be celebrated and nurtured. Our wide range of programs and initiatives equip women with the tools, resources, and knowledge to overcome barriers, break glass ceilings, and confidently navigate their chosen paths.

INSPIRATION and MENTORSHIP are other vital component of our organization. We understand the power of role models and the profound impact their stories can have on others. We host various events featuring extraordinary women who have overcome adversities and achieved remarkable success in various fields. By sharing their journeys, experiences, and expertise, these trailblazers ignite inspiration and serve as beacons of hope for women striving to create their legacies.

ADVOCACY and fostering GENDER EQUALITY are core tenets of our organization. We actively work to eliminate systemic barriers and biases that hinder women’s progress through transformative programming. We collaborate with policymakers, organizations, and community leaders to advocate for fair representation, equal opportunities, and policies that promote gender equity. Through strategic partnerships and grassroots initiatives, we strive to create a society where women’s voices are heard, respected, and valued.

Our community-oriented approach is what sets us apart. We understand the importance of building meaningful connections and fostering a sense of belonging. Therefore, we offer various networking events, mentorship programs, and support groups where women can connect, share experiences, and forge valuable relationships that last a lifetime. We believe that together, we are stronger, and together, we can make a lasting impact.

The inaugural Impact & Empowerment Summit hosted by the Network for the Empowerment of Women was absolutely fantastic. Hearing and seeing women who have experienced and overcome the different forms of challenges, including poverty, widowhood crisis, mental illness and refugee crises telling the story of how they not only overcame but also are now leading change by empowering and encouraging others was truly uplifting.

It was as stated. I was empowered to listen to different perspectives and experiences of women coming from different worlds with backgrounds. And despite coming from different worlds and backgrounds, the way we shared some unique connections that actually every woman can go through, but also not just the connections but also the strength we have when we come together. So it was really empowering for me to see those women leaders and business women who actually made something from nothing to something big, so this was inspiring as well.

The event was absolutely amazing. I think Ifeoma and her team did an incredible job because It is not easy to put something like this together. I have been doing this since 2012 and I know how hard she would have worked to bring everything together. I say bravo to her, congratulations, I can’t wait to see what else she is going to do, and her next event, I think it’s going to be just as incredible and amazing. I am going to start talking about her more and to get people think about engaging her as an event planner from all the stuff that she did here today. Congratulations to her.

The event was awesome, well organized, the facility here is beautiful, the energy in the room really kind of speaks for its self. That is why I personally enjoy coming to things like this because it is really so uplifting. And hearing from so many inspiring and empowering women just really gives you that extra drive and I find staying engaged in this culture all the time by attending things like this as they come up is the best thing you can do for yourself to grow.

It is quite inspiring! I am inspired to come here to hear the success stories of women that have been here. I came here as an immigrant and was wondering how I can really succeed in this environment, but hearing the stories of people that have actually done it and made it happen, I am inspired to actually go out there and do it.

It was really a great event, I believe I made the best decision to spend my Saturday here because being with these women will inspire you, will tell you how it is because they have been in this business for a while they know how things are done. Growing up, these are the people I look up to, these are the people I want to be like. So, it’s been a pleasure being here with them and I am glad I had the opportunity to be in their midst as well and I hope we get to do this more often so we can show the women out there that together we are stronger and we should keep on empowering other women as well.

Definitely, I give credit to the ladies who organized the event. It is very good to empower a woman. I have learnt so much from all the presenters starting from those who told us to care about ourselves. So many times we get stressed up ad we can’t get organized and remember a woman is the whole foundation of a family. So if you loss a woman you lose a family. So whoever is doing this job, whom we all know, the lady has done a great job to put women together and I would like to see this next year and I wish it becomes an annual event and I will come all the way from Toronto to attend the event again.

International Women's Day 2022: It was an awesome moment at the star women's network, breaking the bias on the 5th of March. It was worth the time, as I hear different women speak and tell their stories on how they were able to break the bias and impact lives. The convener Mrs. Ifeoma Esonwune lit the whole house with her welcoming speech, the atmosphere was exhilarating as we were charged up to take up space and become an authority in our respective fields. The guest of honors made it more interesting by sharing from their wealth of knowledge how to break the bias of women. Permit yourself to shine, do not dim your light, you are a city set on a hill that should not be hidden. Someone is waiting for that light, if you don't shine it, the other person might not start. Use your voice, tell your story the world needs to hear it. You are a problem solver, you birth solutions, maximize your potential and bring value to the table. To break the external bias, you need to conquer the internal bias. Speak life with your tongue, believe in yourself, tell yourself you are made for greatness, do not listen to that limiting voice. Know that you are strong, tenacious, audacious, and resilient. You are a STAR, woman.

I AM A WOMAN. I don't need your approval to shine. nor speak out I am made to last. Powerful revelations were made by Peju Abuchi at the IWD 2022 about THE WOMAN. I am still in awe. I AM EMBRACED, EQUIPPED, AND ENCOURAGED. I am empowered to win I embrace who I am I won't allow what goes on behind closed doors to silence my voice I'd be outspoken if needed. I'd walk alone if that's needed I'd take a stand I won't dim my light because someone doesn't want me to speak up I'd break the silence I'd Use my voice I'd motivate that next woman to be able to.... I'd give myself the permission to celebrate me and another woman Awesome instructions by Allison Daniels. I won't forget those. I was privileged to meet Rita Onuorah Sonia S. Ikheloa and other amazing women from several parts of the world. Faith Ayomide and Emily Rodger too Ifeoma Esonwune God bless you Queen. You are a woman that motivates women to become whoever they choose to be. Thanks so much for granting four other women and myself free access to attend. We were encouraged and we just couldn't leave till the end. How could we? God bless you for all you do Queen. I love you. Aanya Wig too was great. I'm blessed to hear some of your story and congratulations to her for winning the game. You are awesome. Awesome. Love from Grace Dazzle Oyegbade

Have you ever listened to a song and felt like the artist had you in mind when they penned it down? This was how I felt when I attended the International Women's Day Event. All the speakers obviously had a lot of passion and knowledge pertaining the issues affecting women and Girls. As well as issues to do with mental health. At the end of the event, I found peace, empowerment, answers, refreshment, love, motivation, and resilience through listening to the different speakers. And I grant myself permission to win this year. Esther Akurut.

It was uplifting, powerful, and meaningful to be a part of the IWD event. Listening to other women's journeys and how they overcame challenges in their lives was humbling and inspirational.
