    Ifeoma Esonwune is the remarkable Founder and CEO of The STAR Women’s Network Inc., Canada and STAR Women’s Empowerment Initiative, Nigeria, demonstrating her unwavering dedication to empowering women globally. She is a certified leadership and business coach, an international speaker, a fierce advocate for women’s empowerment and gender equality, a captivating podcast host, and a dynamic publisher who has emerged as a leading force, driving transformation and creating opportunities for women to thrive in every aspect of their lives.

    Ifeoma is also a certified Kids’ Life Coach. Women’s Empowerment Advocate and the appointed Global Ambassador for The Centre for Women and Gender Studies, Imo State University, Nigeria.

    Armed with a solid educational foundation, Ifeoma holds a Bachelor’s in communication, showcasing her aptitude for effective communication and connection. She furthered her commitment to personal and professional growth with coaching certifications, equipping her with the skills to guide individuals toward their career and life aspirations. She also holds an Executive Certificate in Women in Leadership from the University of Toronto. She is pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology, furthering her understanding of human behaviour and psychology, which undoubtedly enhances her capacity to empower and mentor women effectively.

Ifeoma is devoted to empowering and helping women discover their innate potential and turn their passions into profitable business ventures. She created and hosted the first-ever Virtual Halifax Black Female Business Showcase, attracting Federal and Provincial elected officials, Trade Commissioners, Business and Community Leaders, and business owners across Canada to network, share ideas and explore ways to keep their businesses running, creating a sustainable flow of income during the pandemic. A strong DEI advocate. Ifeoma loves to engage and inspire youths in her community and beyond.

    Ifeoma has won several awards for her vision and leadership, including The Most Inspiring Immigrant in the Maritimes Award, Global News Community Star Award, Halifax Regional Municipality Volunteer Award, Community Impact Award, and more. She also received recognition at the Nova Scotian Legislative House twice (2017 & 2018). In addition, she has been featured in mainstream media, including CTV News Atlantic, CBC, and Global News Atlantic, on topics ranging from business, leadership, gender equality, women empowerment, diversity, and inclusion. She was also featured in the documentary series “Here We Are,” which airs on Eastlink Community TV.

    She mentors undergraduate and postgraduate students, newcomer women to Canada and internationally trained professionals through her volunteer work with the Black Business Professionals Association and the Toronto Centre for Learning and Development.

    Ifeoma has spoken nationally and internationally on topics relating to Women’s Empowerment, Diversity and Inclusion, Gender Equality and Equity, and professional & personal development, amongst other issues. She has been invited to speak at corporate organizations and academic institutions such as Dalhousie University, Saint Mary’s University, University of Toronto, Women Sports Organization, Enbridge Gas, Realstar Management, Halifax Public Library, International Women networks in the US, Leadership Organizations, and at International Women’s Day events in Canada and the US.

    She has also hosted International Women’s Day consistently since 2018, bringing women from across the world together in one room and promoting opportunities for entrepreneurs to start and scale their businesses forward and upward.

    Ifeoma is a contributor to two Amazon best-selling books, “We Are Unbreakable and the Unshakable Faith.”

    She amplifies the voices of ordinary women and provides a platform for them to Engage, Inspire, Empower and Lead. She is also the creator of the STARblazers platform – a unique platform that spotlights Women of colour, amplifies, and celebrates their successes and accomplishments.
